Project opening. Conference of NGO experts
and decision-makers
On November 23rd in Riga, at the Latvian National Library took place
the project opening conference "Consumer budget and reducing
inequalities: ready?" with participation of Latvian NGO experts,
decision-makers and professionals, and NGO experts from six partner
countries - Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Norway, Russia and Poland.
This conference was moderated by Egils Rutkovskis, Master of social
and caring social work.
At this conference several speakers shared their thematic views:
Jurgis Klotins (Advisor to the President), Ineta Rezevska
(Ombudsman), Elina Celmina, Aiga Lukasenoka and Rita Strode (Latvian
Ministry of Welfare), Viktors Veretjanovs (Central Statistical
Bureau), Liga Rasnaca (Latvian University, Social Sciences Faculty),
Irena Liepina (Latvian Free Trade Union Confederation), Andris
Burtnieks (EAPN-Latvia Reference Budgets), Anta Pranevica (FONTES
Researcher), Andris Suvajevs (Providus Researcher).
This conference was opened with a speech by Laila Balga, Chairwoman
of the Board of Women's Rights Institute, and Aldona Droseikiene,
Lithuanian Multiple Sclerosis Union Secretary General.
