Seminar of NGO participants and decision-makers on
basic principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights
On 25 May, 2021, the Russian partner Union of Women of the
Kaliningrad Region, President Marina Matiunina, organized a
webinar within the framework of the NORDEN program of the Women's
Rights Institute in the Baltic Sea region on the implementation of
the principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights to ensure
equal opportunities for women and men in the labor market, incl. in
social enterprises.
The webinar was attended by 23 participants from Kaliningrad,
Latvian, Polish and Lithuanian NGOs, state institutions and private
companies.
Experts from Kaliningrad and Latvian NGOs made presentations: The
role of women's business in the social sphere (Kirill Zvyagin,
Kaliningrad), Experience of successful social entrepreneurship on
the example of a public organization of disabled people (Olga
Panina, Kaliningrad), Female face of social entrepreneurship (Yulia
Rzhechitskaya, Kaliningrad), Experience of the Latvian women's
movement (Inete Ielite, Riga) and Resources of the National
Library of Latvia (Inga Vovchenko, Riga).
