Local workshop of NGO educators on competencies
for strengthening social inclusion in Estonia
The local workshop was implemented in 7 July, 2022, in Tallinn by
partner Eesti People to People, lead by Ruta Pels, President.
The activity increased the competence of 21 NGO educator in the
field of social inclusion. The target group of this activity was NGO
educators - staff, experts and volunteer specialists with various
ages (18-75), Estonian nationality (17) and other (4), both sexes
(11 women, 10 men), persons with low-income (17), seniors with low-
income (4), Ukrainian refugees (2) persons with different
educational level (higher - 18, gymnasium - 3). However, every
target group member's level of education and previous experience in
promoting non-formal adult education are key determinants for them
to participate and expand their knowledge in this activity, then
pass on their knowledge to the members of their organization,
especially to the most vulnerable people.
The legal and operational nature of EPTP made it necessary to
discuss during this workshop the capacity of the Network to pursue
its goals for social inclusion.
Through informative materials and discussions, EPTP educators Ruta
Pels, Leonid Smulskiy and Oksana Karachun shared their experiences
of the situation within the network and put together proposals that
will contribute to the improvement of the socially inclusive
environment and the inclusion process.
This workshop also provided an opportunity to involve in the
discussion the participants with less experience in the programs
offered by Erasmus+ and in the context of the European dimension.
Attracting educated professionals to the NGO network will be an
important tool for increasing people's well-being in Estonia.
The results of the workshop were evaluated in the end of the
workshop.
