Meetings and workshops in Riga, Latvia
From 11 of October to 15 of October, 2022, in Riga an exchange of
experiences between NGO educators took place in the social
enterprises and NGOs of social work and health.
The topic: The principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights:
Social protection and inclusion - Inclusion of people with
disabilities. Compilation and analysis of the project results.
Closing the project.
6 adult educators from Latvia and Denmark were involved. At least 39
participants from other Latvian NGOs were involved in the
activities.
The activities took place at the Latvian Association for Social
Entrepreneurship, National Library of Latvia, European Union House,
Society for disabled people "Rūpju bērns", social enterprise "RB
Cafe" and St.Luke Support Society.
Denmark was represented by Jan Johansen, Director of Odense Center
of Adult Education (Odense).
Latvian educators Liva Svarca, Roberts Karklins, Darja Trizna,
Maris
Gravis and Margarita Sveckova, as well as NGO experts Baiba
Miltovica, Tekla Zabova, Martins Svirskis and Andris Burtnieks were
attracted by EAPN-Latvia (Riga).
Laila Balga, Chairperson of the Board, and Aigars Sveicers, Board
Member of EAPN-Latvia, coordinated the meetings and workshops in
12-14 October 2022.
